Divers Search For Jumper Off Bridge In Hudson Valley

State Police dive teams are in the chilly waters searching for a person who jumped from a Hudson Valley bridge.

New, updated story: 25-Year-Old Hudson Valley Man ID'd As Bridge Jumper

The incident took place in Dutchess County in Rhinebeck around 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1, when the person jumped from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, said Trooper AJ Hicks with the New York State Police.

Currently, divers from the State Police Underwater Recovery Team are searching the area for the person.

Hicks said traffic is moving slowly on the bridge and asked that motorists avoid the area.
